POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the material flow and providing the first line of defense for technical and operability issues for the Slitting process
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Resolution of quality and operability issues, identification of at-risk behaviors and the potential hazards when interacting with equipment
· Lead small technical projects and provide support for manufacturing trials
· Able to articulate high-speed web handling theory and train others on how to react to process upsets by following established process control strategies
· Familiar with statistical process control and can train others on determining when a process needs intervention
· Analyzes data and benchmarks performance internally and externally to develop best practices for Finishing Procedures.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or GED required, advance studies desirable
- 48 months of manufacturing experience
- 24 months demonstrated leadership behaviors
- 24 months of slitting experience required
- Candidate should have extensive knowledge of Oriented polypropylene process
- Working knowledge of all slitters and packing, customer FFU needs and be able to identify extrusion, winder and slitting quality and operability issues
