Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher

ProCare Therapy is working with a school district located in Oakland area that is in need of a teacher for the visually impaired for the rest of the 2022-2023 school year. With students' needs becoming increasingly individualized, the demand for school professionals is at an all-time high. And the demands placed on school professionals are also greater than ever. Job Type: * Full time: 35 hours/day * February 2023 - June 2023 * Onsite * Itinerant position * Experience teaching braille and technology assisting devices * Supporting consultative services and student evaluations across caseload * Responsible for providing direct services as outline in IEP, provide instruction in skills needed to compensate for vision loss, braille, technology, self-advocacy, etc. * More details of position will be discussed on an interview with the Director of Special Education * Pay: $43-48 per hour * Pay is negotiable and experience based Requirements: * California TVI certification * Masters degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students * Previous school experience preferred * Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check Benefits: * Competitive compensation * Weekly pay * 401k matching * Insurance through United Health Care: Medical, dental and vision * Reimbursement for continuing education * Relocation assistance Interview Process: * 10 -15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter * 20-30 Minute virtual interview directly with the school district * Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview The district is looking to hire for the 2022-2023 school year!
