- Ability to APPLY communications theory, covering RF propagation and signal processing modeling. This role requires more than simple recall; your ability to understand the system, environment, and specifications at hand, demonstrate abstract problem solving, and be clever is crucial.
- Demonstrated skill creating simulations with Python, MATLAB, and C++. Utilization of open source RF engineering libraries, etc. Experience integrating/calling source code, DLL, executables between environments would be useful. Excellence in creating visualizations. Ability to constantly enhance and refine workloads.
- Hands on testing experience in lab and the field to include experience with network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and signal analyzers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Remarkable problem solving abilities facing complex environments. Excellent collaboration and mentorship ability. The ability to work well with others is a premium in the technical realm.
- Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Master's of Science highly preferred.
- Experience supporting DoD telecommunications, satellite, or RADAR technologies highly preferred.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Create accurate and reliable statistical models and simulations to evaluate RF system performance, under varying environments and conditions.
- Analyze and evaluate signal processing and system performance using hardware testing during simulations.
- Actively participate in lab and field tests, understanding how to set up and employ tests as necessary.
- Work with different engineering teams to describe, understand, and introduce interfaces with other system componentry.
- Complete testing and evaluation milestone with precise, detailed technical report writing and presentations that can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences.
