An Excellent Opportunity Mountain Valley has an opening for a Registered Nurse in the Hillsville service area to respond to patient calls that are received after business hours. Our week-day and weekend on-call nursing team provides prompt 24-hour nursing support for hospice patients from Monday at 5pm through Friday at 8am and Friday at 4 pm through Monday at 8 am. Support may be in the form of telephone triage or face-to-face visits depending on the needs of the patient and family. Duties * Responds to calls from patients, families, caregivers * Provide direct nursing and supportive care for the terminally ill patient * Perform late day admissions and tuck-in visits. * Recognize, report, and document changes in patient/client condition Schedule * Monday - Thursday 5pm - 8am Qualifications * Valid Registered Nurse License * BLS Certification * Valid Driver's License Vaccination for COVID-19 & annual flu vaccination are conditions of employment unless an employee qualifies for a medical or religious exemption.
