CNC Machinist Programmer

Position Overview:

The CNC Machinist Programmer will be responsible for operating several CNC machining tools to produce a variety of precision parts to support our growing sales of industrial drying equipment and systems. The right candidate will be a team player who has experience working on a wide range of machines.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Operating CNC milling machines, including DMG Mori NLX4000, Komo VMC 50/120, and vertical milling machines
• Use Mastercam CAD/CAM software to define efficient tooling operations to create high quality parts
• Reading engineering drawings and job orders to determine specifications and tooling instructions
• Measuring dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
• Keep work area clean, maintain equipment in proper working order
• Fill out job travelers and other required documentation

Desired Skills and Experience:

• At least five years’ experience with CNC lathe and milling machines as well as some experience with manual machining tools like large lathes, drill press, etc.
• Problem solver that can multi-task
• Ability to work without supervision while also working within larger team
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Vocational, technical or high school education
