Special Education Teacher

$35-$40 Hourly Pay Location: Athens, GA Job Type: Full-time - 37.5 hours/week We are seeking a dedicated and experienced special education teacher to join our team in Athens, GA. The successful candidate will work onsite with our elementary students, providing support and instruction to students with special needs. Responsibilities: * Provide instruction and support to elementary students with special needs * Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student * Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure students' needs are met * Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and IEP goals * Participate in IEP meetings and other team meetings as required * Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers regarding student progress Requirements: * Elementary Certification as well as SPED Gen. Curriculum certification * Experience working with elementary students with special needs * Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work collaboratively with other educators and support staff * Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth We offer a competitive hourly rate and benefits package, as well as opportunities for ongoing professional development and growth.
