Basic Function:

  • We're seeking an Assistant Manager who can lead and supervise operations in an individual restaurant, ensuring it meets or exceeds its annual operating plan. Your focus will be on the following key areas:
  • Driving excellence in customer service, making it a top priority.
  • Maintaining company standards in product and facility specifications.
  • Supervising food handling procedures and operational processes to ensure quality and safety.
  • Exercising financial control to meet restaurant profit margin targets.

As an Assistant Manager, you will perform hands-on operational work, as needed, to train employees, respond to customer service needs, or model appropriate skills and behavior in the restaurant. Your leadership and dedication will be integral in delivering exceptional results, ensuring that the restaurant thrives under your guidance. Job Specifications:

Customer Satisfaction/Product Quality

  • Maintaining fast, accurate service and positive guest relations while ensuring products meet company quality standards.
  • Leading a customer-focused culture by resolving customer issues, training managers and crew to exceed customer service standards, and analyzing and resolving sources of customer complaints.
  • Ensuring food safety standards are met to protect our guests.

Financial

  • Developing and driving the restaurant's annual operating plan and analyzing sales, labor, inventory, and controllables to take corrective action to achieve margin and sales growth targets.
  • Training and mentoring subordinates on financial analyses and profitability tips for the restaurant.
  • Managing store CAPEX requests and acting as the principal interface with all vendors.

Operations

  • Ensuring that facilities and equipment are maintained to company standards and monitoring inventory, food preparation, and order fulfillment to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Establishing restaurant speed of service targets, monitoring performance, and resolving bottlenecks to achieve goals.
  • Overseeing the development and revision of weekly management and crew schedules.

Human Resources Responsibilities

  • Directing all restaurant-level HR activity, including personal accountability for crew hiring decisions, bench plan development and execution, performance management, compensation, and employee relations issues up to and including termination.
  • Providing hands-on training for management staff in advanced STP modules and developing all Shift Supervisors and Assistant General Managers to assume higher level responsibilities.
  • Developing and monitoring staffing plans and directing crew sourcing activities.
  • Managing the work environment on all shifts to ensure fair and equitable employee treatment and adherence to all company, state, and federal workplace regulations.
