SunnyDays Therapy is a Pediatric clinic offering SLP and OT services. Position Summary:

The purpose of this role is to help children live life to the fullest by increasing their functional independence through play. Living the SunnyDays core values by providing quality OT services through teamwork, establishing meaningful relationships, open and professional communication, and efficiency is essential to this role.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare for and conduct screenings for potential new clients by reviewing existing information prior to screening and providing clinical recommendations for further evaluation if necessary
  • Prepare for and conduct evaluations for potential new clients using appropriate assessments, complete evaluation reports, and share findings with client’s parents or caregivers and physicians
  • Create individualized treatment plans and goals that include necessary diagnostic and development information to guide treatment
  • Provide 1:1 therapy services using client specific intervention methods to aid in achieving goals and document goal progress
  • Partner with parents or caregivers in a productive and professional manner regarding plan of care, measuring success, and home care
  • Partner with physicians and other professionals to ensure plan of care meets client needs and is collaborate with shared goals
  • Collaborate weekly with Speech Therapists regarding treatment plans of shared clients to ensure consistency in vocabulary, responses to behaviors, and carry-over of treatment
  • Determine what success of treatment looks like and discharge when appropriate
  • Oversee treatment of clients by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants through observation, documentation review, family communication, and bi-weekly communication regarding all aspects of the plan of care
  • Ability to complete required documentation thoroughly, accurately, and in line with insurance requirements by due dates
  • Actively participate in continuing education courses which promote self and company growth, share information with the team via in-service presentations, and report hours as mandated by state board and national organizations
  • Abide by SunnyDays conduct standards as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Regular and reliable attendance

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Maintain clinic cleanliness through assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties
  • Actively participate in weekly team meetings to build relationships within the team and help achieve company goals and initiatives
  • Promote company through various marketing initiatives throughout the year

License & Certification Requirements:

  • Minnesota Department of Health Licensure
  • NBCOT Certification
  • CPR & First Aid Certification

  • Dependability and punctuality with schedule to ensure seamless treatment for clients
  • Proactively seek opportunities for continuing education, clinic operations, and process improvements
  • Service minded with a willingness to volunteer at local events to support and educate the communities we serve
  • Experience treating pediatric population with proven ability to be creative and easily adapt to client needs

Physical Requirements:

  • This role involves working with children of all ages and may require light work including but not limited to movement of treatment equipment, lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and reaching

Position Status:

  • Full-Time, Exempt or Part-Time, Non-Exempt
  • Reports to Clinical Supervisor
    1. Indirect supervision of COTAs
  • Availability to work until 6:00pm

Location:

  • Albertville, Minnetonka, or Waconia MN
  • Occasional travel to other SunnyDays sites may be required
