Concrete Laborer

Laborer Concrete -Skilled Laborer

This is a skilled/unskilled position requiring an understanding of concrete operation in the construction of concrete surfaces and roadways. Laborer needs to be experienced in the following equipment; however not limited to, shovels, rakes, sledge hammers, concrete rakes, early entry concrete saws, etc. Laborers will be required to assist in cleaning concrete plants, pavers, equipment. Laborer must have knowledge of grade, elevation and stabilizing of subgrades for concrete placement. This position requires day to day interaction with other employees. Contribute to the Team effort for success by working wherever they are needed when they are available.

Responsibilities

• Able to work in all kinds of weather conditions in order to maintain a safe and productive work site
• Able to complete jobs from start to finish
• Must be able to produce concrete products to required specifications
• Have an understanding of concrete placement, and work and labor associated with concrete roadway construction.
• Provide labor/assistance with all aspects of our construction needs.
• Ability to assist with grade stakes using hammers, pins, string line.
• Knowledge of concrete and other heavy equipment.
• Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.
• Operates equipment on vehicle to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials.
• Able to run other pieces of equipment and perform as needed on the job in other positions
