Job Summary
Senior Accountant/Administrator
We are a small office located in Old Town Fort Collins, Colorado offering a challenging and varied work environment. A typical day will not only revolve around accounting duties but may also include flexing your property management and client/vendor relationship skills. Critical thinking abilities will enhance your work experience. Acting as personal assistant to the owner adds to the position a variety of duties outside the normal accounting realm. This position requires the ability to work independently and as a team member in the real estate development and property management field. This position reports directly to the controller. Responsibilities and Duties
Tasks to be performed:
- Record, reconcile, & accrue loan payments, amortize financing fees
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, & petty cash fund
- Prepare & maintain A/R rent roll
- Prepare & record A/R invoices & billing changes
- Record A/R payments/credits & maintain A/R payment schedule
- Prepare schedules & calculate loan interest & late fees
- Calculate & record management fees
- Reconcile month-end A/R & AP Aging
- Reconcile A/R Related Party & Intercompany AP between multiple companies
- Process, code, & record A/P invoices
- Communicate with tenants & vendors to obtain information & resolve issues
- Record, track, & reconcile fixed assets, capitalization, depreciation, & amortization
- Assist in audit & tax return preparation
- Maintain accurate files & supporting documentation
- Other tasks as assigned-assist in Property Management functions. Office Management.
Qualifications and Skills
Required skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum 3 + years experience
- Must have good customer service skills
- Must have strong QuickBooks & Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize, self-motivated, & detail-oriented
- Must consistently deliver accurate & timely work & accept personal accountability
- Must have valid drivers license
Desired skills (Not required):
- Tax experience a plus
- Intercompany experience a plus
- Construction draw experience a plus
