RN Requirements • Active, unencumbered RN license from the state in which you plan to work • Minimum 6 months of RN work experience • Push, pull, support, and lift a minimum of 80 pounds • Physical stamina to handle long hours of standing and walking • Current CPR certification (Basic Life Support preferred) • Annual physical • Negative TB test results • COVID-19 Vaccination** RN Responsibilities As a ShiftMed registered nurse, you’ll be responsible for but not limited to: • Ongoing patient assessment and observation to ensure optimum health levels. • Administering and recording medications per facility policy and procedures. • Transcribing and implementing written, verbal, and electronic physician orders. • Delegating appropriate tasks to nurse aides and ensuring proper care delivery. • Supervising clinical operations for nursing and clinical care activities. • Performing assessment data collection in an ongoing, systemic manner. • Reviewing and evaluating data collected by other healthcare professionals. • Developing care plans that prescribe nursing actions to achieve patient goals. • Identifying patient/family learning needs and implementing appropriate processes. • Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication. • Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team. • Ongoing flexibility regarding patient assignments, floating, and related staffing issues. • Promoting a positive work environment and demonstrating a positive attitude.
