Description

  • Welcome each guest personally within 30 seconds and offer menus
  • Take orders and ring drink orders into the computer immediately, collect money or credit card from guests for drinks served
  • Ensure servers orders are prepared
  • Communicate with guests using clear, enthusiastic words, tone, and body language. Make guests feel appreciated through your actions
  • Mix, garnish, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to guests
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in agreement with Mojitobar standards
  • Wash and sterilize stemware
  • Be attentive! Offer your assistance before the guest asks for it
  • Count the number of drinks guests are served
  • Place current bar tabs in front of guests at all times
  • Anticipate your guests' needs. Follow the half-full rule when offering another drink. Be alert of guest signals (raising a hand, looking directly at you, etc.), and acknowledge the guest, so they know you will be right with them
  • Learn your guests' names, occupations, and favorite drinks. This will make Mojitobar a special place for them
  • Responsible service of alcohol. We will supply a taxi if a guest reaches the state you do not feel they should drive. Do not hesitate to ask for management intervention if necessary

Qualifications

  • Be 21 years of age.
  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
  • Have a working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor and typical drink recipes.
  • Possess basic math skills and can handle money and operate a cash register.
  • Work standing for extended periods (up to 5 hours).
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
