Position Summary
We are hiring a Manager of Technology.  The Manager of Technology reports directly to the Director of Technology.  The Manager of Technology is responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure and cybersecurity within the organization. This position will develop programs and services that will meet our technology goals by identifying, developing, selecting technologies, and managing key relationships with vendors and partners. The role will manage infrastructure oversight for core technical operations, including network operations/security, help desk, and procurement. The ideal candidate will be experienced in creating and implementing IT policies and systems that will meet objectives. The candidate will also be a hands-on professional who enjoys rolling up his or her sleeves, working as part of a team, and jumping between disciplines to achieve goals. 
 
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
·        Provide direction and support in the development and deployment of the organization’s information technology infrastructure, with an emphasis on the systems that support internal operations.
·        Collaborate with internal groups to achieve successful delivery and avoid/mitigate adverse outcomes. 
·        Define key reporting metrics to communicate deployment and network successes to the organization and executive management.
·        Leverage technology to simplify staff user experience via applications and integrations.
·        Work with leaders and end-users across disciplines to select appropriate technologies to meet core organizational needs.
·        Lead configuration and deployment of enterprise tools shared across the org, including initial and ongoing support.
·        Create and manage product and application inventory processes such that all technology leads have clear visibility into the applications used in other areas of the org.
·        Actively communicate current issues, upcoming changes, etc. to staff in an easy-to-understand manner.
·        Educate staff on best practices in their use of technologies.
·        Develop and maintain support documents for use by all levels of support personnel, as well as end-user documentation.
·        Keeping cybersecurity in front of mind lead users into best practices for safe sharing of information.
·        Establish and monitor best practices for data security and sharing.
·        Support, install, and configure technology for headquarters, remote offices, and remote employees.
·        Respond to incoming support issues via phone, email, and the web while providing positive customer service experiences.
·        Establish, maintain and monitor user-centric support practices.
·        Serve as a point-of-contact with Managed Services Provider, delegating assignments to them as appropriate, overseeing projects, sharing accountability with them for successful outcomes.
·        Actively participate in the Technology Steering Team.
·        On-site event coverage as needed.
·        Manage part-time technology staff for event support.

Qualifications
·        Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent experience). 
·        Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive IT management. 
·        Experience leading a small-to-medium technology organization; multi-site IT operations environment preferred. 
·        Knowledge across multiple IT disciplines including, but not limited to hardware, software, data and device security, phone systems (mobile and on-premises), video teleconferencing, and connectivity (Mac and PC). 
·        Advanced support level knowledge of Windows & Mac OS and Microsoft 365. 
·        Advanced support level knowledge of Windows core infrastructure technologies including but not limited to: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NPS. 
·        Advanced support level knowledge of Cisco technologies, including, but not limited to routing, switching, wireless, VoIP, DNA center. 
·        Must have the ability to recognize problem areas, define solutions, and implement those solutions promptly. 
·        Able and willing to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
