SAFETY DUTIES:        Wear proper personal protective equipment such as earplugs, gloves, safety eyeglasses,, and smock. Use proper lifting techniques. Always keep the assigned areas clean and orderly. Report any accidents, unsafe equipment, or area to the line leader or supervisor.

GENERAL DUTIES:        Operates the bagger machine used for poultry products.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:        Employee will clock in and gather their supplies at the supply room when arriving at the facility. Employee will sanitize before gloving and after reporting to the work area.

JOB SPECIFICS: Tends machine that automatically measures, prints, cuts, folds, and glues, or seals polyethylene film, or cellophane to form bags: Threads materials from parent roll through guides and rollers to cutters, gluer, printer, folding device, or electric sealer.  Starts machine, observes operation and adjusts machine to ensure uniform shearing, printing, folding, gluing, or sealing of continuous roll of material into finished bags. May insert the shaft into core of parent roll and secure with steel collars, using hand tools, and mount roll onto the machine using hoist. Responsible for helping produce safe, legal, and authentic products to the quality expectations of the customer. Supports, implements and helps maintain and improve all Quality Management programs and procedures. Responsible for implementation, improvement, and enforcement of all programs and procedures related to BRC.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employee will stand/walk 100% of the time. Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast pace environment at all times.

ENVIRONMENT: Poultry processors work in cold, damp conditions (40°ree; to 50°ree; degrees) to prevent the meat from spoiling. Work area surfaces are wet and slippery 100% of the time. Because processors work with knives and sharp machinery, there is a risk of accidental injuries, ranging from minor cuts to finger or limb amputations.

EDUCATION: Minimum education required, GED or High School. Must be able to understand basic instructions from the lead/supervisor.
