Assistant Director/Lead Teacher

Title: Assistant Child Care Director

Job Summary: The Assistant Child Care Director will work closely with the Child Care Director to ensure the smooth operation of the child care center. The assistant director will be responsible for assisting with planning, organizing, and implementing programs, as well as supervising staff and ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Child Care Director with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate programs for children
• Supervise and train child care staff
• Ensure that all child care policies, procedures, and regulations are followed
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and other required documentation
• Assist with the recruitment and hiring of staff
• Conduct parent orientations and communicate with parents regularly
• Assist with financial management and budgeting
• Assist with maintaining a safe and clean environment for children and staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience in child care, including supervisory experience
• Knowledge of state and federal child care regulations
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
