Full Time Packer - Customer Service - Re Stocking

Jest Paint LLC is looking for a self-motivated hard-working individual to join our team and fulfill our newly opened positions as a packer/customer service representative/shelf stocker.

Our company is growing, and we are looking to add one new member to our team of 4 at our main office/warehouse to help us take care of all incoming stock, orders and customer inquiries.

What do we do?

We are one of the largest online face and body art stores worldwide. We sell face paints and other tools of the trade to professional face and body painters around the world. Our team is based in Portage, MI, the main location of our warehouse and office, and the owners and managers are located overseas. You can visit our store, JestPaint.com to explore what we sell.

On a daily basis any member of our team will print orders, pick products based on the invoice and pack them, print shipping labels for each order, communicate with customers when changes to an order are needed, answer phones and or e-mails to respond to customer’s questions about our products, sales, website issues, or other things, take orders over the phone, receive stock, count stock based on the invoice received, put stock on the right shelf and put the items in stock online on our e-commerce store.

From time-to-time team members might be asked to help us pre-pack products (seal sponges inside bags, stick stencils inside bags, poor glitter inside bottles, etc.), help organize the office before, during and after work to keep your work space clean and easy to use, etc.

Who Would the Ideal Candidate Be?

- A self-motivated person that can learn to find new things to do when done with the work assigned to them.

- A quick learner that is not afraid to ask questions but is also able to quickly retain information and remember how to do tasks after they have been clearly and thoroughly explained and demoed.

- Someone that can manage a computer with ease as you will need to use a lot of online tools, we will teach you how to use them as you work your way into Jest Paint. We work with tools like Shopify, Slack, Shipstation, Zendesk and more. You will learn how to use them while at work, no prior knowledge required.

- Someone that knows how to and is ready to work at a FAST pace as orders and stock come in every hour and we need to make sure every order goes out on time and that stock is quickly stored on the right shelf and put online.

- Someone willing to learn new skills often to take care of any new tasks that might be assigned to you as you gain more responsibilities.

- Some one friendly and willing to provide an excellent customer service experience to each one of our customers by phone, e-mail or in person.

- Someone that is comfortable working in a quiet environment.

Required Skills

- Knowing how to manage a computer and the internet

- Knowing the basics of Microsoft Office

- Excellent attention to detail

- Ability to recognize colors well

- Ability to work in a team yet mostly quiet environment

- Self-motivated (no need for a supervisor to dictate every task you should perform)

- Excellent communication skills in writing and orally

- Knows how to manage e-mail and phone

- Can manage the use of simple tools with ease: tape, scissors, bubble wrap, stapler, etc.

Preferred Skills

- Previous experience with e-commerce

- Previous Customer Service Experience

- Previous Experience with packing orders, checking products off an invoice and re-stocking shelves

What are the Work Conditions?

- You will be asked to work Monday through Friday, for 7 hours (including a half hour break) somewhere in between 8am and 3:30pm (could be 8am-3pm or 08:30am-3:30pm).

- Your starting hourly wage will be $15 USD an hour if you stay with us and meet our expectations after the third month your hourly wage will be increased to $16.00 an hour (you must pass all 3 monthly evaluations). Employees that have been with us for a few years are currently earning up to $24 USD an hour based on their skills, responsibilities and time with the company.

- After your third month with us you will be eligible for Short and Long Term disability insurance fully paid for by Jest Paint LLC.

- You will be required to work most if not all holidays that fall on a weekday, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.

- We have a no time off policy from August through October unless it is an emergency (family, medical, etc). This might become more flexible if we think our larger team can still deal with the high demand we experience during those months without having a full team working every day.

- You will be required to comply with all company policies that will be provided to you upon acceptance of the job offer.

- You will be working inside our office/warehouse, fully heated during winter, with AC during summer. You will be able to sit while you pack orders but will be required to move to pick up products and access high and low shelves that might require a full standing position and or bending down.

- Attendance and punctuality are closely monitored, as we count on our team to be able to meet the demand from our customers.

- A relaxed but fast-paced environment. You will have your own assigned working space and tools and will be sharing the office with other team members doing similar tasks in a mostly quiet environment. We expect you to be able to pack an average of 7 orders and hour and we monitor and measure that on an ongoing basis.

- We provide a space for you to take a break with a couch, table and stools, microwave, mini fridge, sink and utensils to eat a meal while on break.
