Parts Manager

Job Purpose: 

Cheyenne Camping Center is searching for a Parts Manager to join its team in the Walcott, IA, area. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the following processes: Manage all direct report personnel, P&L performance & budgeting, department initiatives and improvement projects, inventory, stock & surplus control, warehouse operations/functions, and critical order expediting process/functions.

Duties: 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, manage, maintain a balanced parts inventory level, consistent with the requirements of the service department, body shop and wholesale/retail.

• Supervise personnel of the Parts Department Team: Inside Counter Sales, Outside Sales, Shipping and Receiving personnel.

• Analyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.

• Communicate easily with all employees, clearly and effectively striving for employee cooperation within all company divisions.

• Monitor daily reports

• Deliver exceptional customer service for all our parts business.

• P&L performance & budgeting.

• Department initiatives and improvement projects.

• Warehouse operations/functions and critical order expediting process/functions,

• Point person for all parts transactional problems, resolutions & process questions.

• Manage Price File updates.

• Conduct annual physical inventory.

• Provide support during inventory counts.

• Other Projects as assigned

Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong Leadership, People Management & Communication Skills.

• Strong data management and analytical skills including data query ability and practical experience using Excel and Google Sheets.

• Strong understanding of inventory control theories, reorder points, order quantities, lead times and general parts inventory control KPI’s. (turns, fill rates, MOH, surplus)

• Shipping & receiving procedures and process flow.

• Ability to prioritize and organize.
