Position Description

Epic Special Education Staffing is partnering with an exceptional school district who is looking for several contract Special Education Teachers for the 2023-2024 school year. This district provides high level of support including monthly meetings to share ideas, and a strong mentoring program. They will work to have candidates placed with the ages/grade/locations they prefer. Fredericksburg is located halfway between Richmond (the capital of VA) and Washington DC, so it is a very desirable area.

• Location: Fredericksburg, VA
• Duration: August 1, 2023 - May 23, 2024
• Onsite or Virtual: On-Site
• Full or Part Time: Full Time
• Schedule: 40 hours/week; 7:00AM-3:00PM, 7:30AM-3:30PM or 8:00AM-4:00PM
• Grade/Age Levels: Pre-Kinder to 12th-grade
• Caseload description: 8-10 students

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for a Special Education (SPED) Teacher:

• 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Special Education Teacher within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
• Valid Special Education Teacher credential/license or in process in the state of practice
