Tax Accountant

Accounting firm located in Alexandria Virginia is looking for a tax accountant. This is a small, growing tax practice working with individuals and small businesses on accounting and tax matters. You'll be responsible for preparing tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations (both S Corporations and C Corporations).

Business returns require some knowledge of accounting so that you can review the client's books in order to determine if adjustments need to be posted. This requires, obviously, some knowledge of QuickBooks since so many clients use QuickBooks.

Outside of tax preparation we work with clients to prepare income tax projections and provide tax planning guidance on how to financially organize their lives to minimize tax liabilities.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or other relevant field required

Experience:

‐ Minimum of One to Two years prior experience
‐ Experience with corporate, partnership and individual taxation

Software:

‐ Microsoft Office Tools
‐ Tax compliance software Ultra‐tax or comparable programs
- QuickBooks Online
