Balance Day Spa is actively seeking experienced and licensed Estheticians to join our team. As the voted best day spa in the Triad, we prioritize excellence in service and value effective communication and interpersonal skills. We are particularly interested in candidates with previous retail sales experience. The primary responsibility of this role is to address guests' needs through consultations, perform treatments to address concerns, recommend future maintenance programs, and educate clients on at-home care products. Responsibilities:

• Providing waxing, facials, body treatments, and makeup applications and lessons.
• Adhering to appointments in a timely manner by monitoring the schedule.
• Welcoming clients warmly, accompanying them to and from treatment rooms, and expressing sincere gratitude upon departure.
• Interviewing clients to gather information about contraindications and evaluating skin suitability for treatments.
• Advising clients on skincare and recommending suitable treatments and home care regimens.
• Engaging in conversations with clients during sessions on topics of interest to them.
• Maintaining product knowledge to promote and sell spa and salon services, as well as retail products.
• Adhering to esthetics policies regarding chemical usage, cleaning, sanitizing, and equipment maintenance.
• Caring for linens and replacing them between sessions.
• Ceasing treatment and reporting inappropriate guest behavior to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• State licensure to practice as an esthetician.
• 2+ years of industry experience.
• Proficiency in performing all applicable treatments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding people skills and a warm, friendly manner.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality.

Additional Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as an Esthetician or in a similar role.
• Effective communication with clients.
• Ability to develop a plan of action for client care.
• Comfort in making clients feel at ease.
• Deep knowledge of skincare techniques.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent with a valid Esthetician’s license.
• Evaluation of a customer’s skin condition and offering recommendations for treatments.
• Recommending skincare products to customers, including moisturizers and facial washes.
• Performing waxing or plucking unwanted hair, providing facials, and administering other cosmetic treatments.
