Short Description
ED Security Officers will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and team members within the Emergency Department through proper weapons screening processes as established by the security department, as well as patient interventions, restraint applications and general ED Team Member security support. They will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills while protecting and preserving the interests and property the organization.
Experience Required
- 3-5 years preferred
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma
License/Certification Requirements
- Current NJ-CPRCertification (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
Special Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Knowledge and demonstrated proficient use of current weapons screening equipment.
- Proper use of force training
- Communication - Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and coworkers
- Proper application of patient restraints
- Fluently speaks, reads, and writes in the English language
- Current Cooper de-escalation and violence prevention training
