The Facility Planning Technical Lead will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise for facility planning, assessment, management, modernization, optimization, and transformation for a federal client. The Facility Planning Technical Lead will provide technical analysis of facility management processes and systems and provide recommendations for improvement as well as manage programs. The applicant should demonstrate competency in project management and execution, leadership critical thinking, relationship management, and business growth while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.

Responsibilities

The applicant will work with limited guidance in a complex enterprise environment. The candidate will work side-by-side with senior government executives and a team of fellow LMIers to ensure the success of the Facility Asset Management. Related responsibilities for the position include:

    Deliver solutions, lead programs, and support client delivery
    • Oversee the execution of facilities projects as needed.
    • Utilize subject matter expertise to propose and deliver solutions to facility requirements for Federal projects to include both new construction and maintenance and repair of existing real property.
    • Coordinate with and manage intended facility users, incorporating user input into facility programs and planning, ensuring adherence to technical and professional facility standards, and adjudicating conflicting ideas and opinions.
    • Assist with all aspects of facility development, including planning, programming, design and construction phases.
    • Prepare, review and maintain project documentation and reports, including program strategic plans, project management plans, budgets and funding justifications, execution schedules, and program briefings.
    • Identify program risk, provide risk mitigation strategies, and implement overall risk management at the program and project levels.
    • Provide input on appropriate standards, and guidelines, as well as interpretation of and compliance with building codes and regulations.
    • Lead and manage diverse cross-functional teams.
  • Enhance corporate Facility Asset Management Practice
    • Identify best practices and outcomes from trends analysis and research to enhance information provided to program investments plans
    • Develop and maintain high quality relationships with internal and external customers and partners.
    • Support business development with proposal solutioning and win-theme development.
    • Develop tools and prototypes to enhance efficiency, decrease cost, and improve operational availability of Federal property.
    • Conduct data analysis to identify most impactful facility investment priorities.
    • Determine portfolio-level and facility-level cost drivers for facility operations and maintenance.
Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of relevant facilities experience and a bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of successfully overseeing the work of facilities teams throughout the real property lifecycle
  • Commercial facilities management, design, or analysis experience.
  • Experience in designing solutions to meet Federal solicitation requirements and objectives, complemented by significant involvement in competitive Federal proposals in a proposal leadership role
  • Track record of successfully working in the realm of real property development including site analysis, environmental planning, space programming, design oversight, and construction procurement and administration.
  • Experience with technology integration with facilities portfolios required.
  • Remote sensing, automated data collection, or internet of things experience a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both oral and written, with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.

Preferred

  • Master's Degree in degree in architecture, engineering, science, or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, A55k certification, Certified Facilities Manager (CFRM) Certification, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), LEED-AP or other industry-related certification is a plus.
  • Experience with integrating sensor technology to Federal facility portfolios to improve data quality and better inform investment decisions.
