What You Will Do:

The Firewall Engineer will help enable the security of a federal clients cloud environment. The individual must be able to pull and evaluate firewall data logs while also working with data engine output to analyze the effectiveness of the solution. Specific experience with Microsoft Cloud Access Security (MCAS) is highly desirable. Top candidates will be able to execute and enable an already defined cloud architecture and firewall strategy. Specific tasks include:

  • Design and engineer MCAS network security configurations

  • Design and engineer MCAS to protect SaaS applications

  • Design and engineer firewall changes to ingest firewall logs, recommend firewall changes per log analysis

  • Design and engineer MCAS for cloud discovery

  • MCAS outboarding

  • Attend Ap Owner Onboarding Interviews

  • Add application as custom connected app in MCAS

  • Configure session policy in MCAS

  • Tier 3 O&M of MCAS network security configurations


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance

  • FOUR (4) or more years' relevant experience

  • Firewall engineering experience to include design and configuration of firewall solutions

  • Experience pulling firewall logs and performing analysis on the effectiveness of firewall solutions

  • Understanding of cloud security solutions and associated firewall engineering


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • Associated technical certifications preferred (CISSP. Cloud)

  • FIVE (5) or more years' hands on experience in the IT security space

  • Experience delivering and deploying firewall engineering services in a cloud environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Defender for Cloud Applications

  • Experience delivering services to federal client
