Driver (Halifax, MA)

POSITION SUMMARY: The driver will commute to various RoadSafe locations and project sites, drive vehicles, assist team and operations in daily tasks.  

Delivery Driver, supporting Mechanic Shop.  Non-CDL. Must be DOT certified, clean driving record.  Construction experience, a plus.  Willing to train.

Delivery Driver, supporting Liddell Leasing.  Non-CDL. Must be DOT certified , clean driving record.  Construction experience, a plus.  Willing to train.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Will travel on state and local roadways to RoadSafe locations in various states.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, CDL is a plus but not required
• Will use mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment, vehicle and diesel mechanics.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, sit and bend for long durations.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and perform daily tasks required for the job.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• A high school diploma (or equivalent) is required
• Current valid State Driver’s License
• Must be able to drive, sit, and stand for extended periods of time and in a variety of weather conditions
• Must be able to receive, understand, and communicate specific instructions
• Must be able to successfully pass background check and DOT drug screen
• Must have 2-5 years of driving experience
• HAZMAT certification preferred but not required
• Must be able to read and write in order to complete paperwork, comply with road signs and have knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulation
• Must be willing to work in a primarily outdoor environment and travel
