Wake Forest Health Network Obstetrics and Gynecology - Asheboro seeks an OBGYN physician to join their well-established and thriving practice of 5 physicians and one advanced practice professional. This is a team-oriented practice with supportive colleagues and well trained clinical and clerical staff that go the extra mile for their patients.

ASHEBORO is located in the center of North Carolina, offers:

JOB SUMMARY: Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways, from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare. While physician specialties might vary, the commonality across specialties is that physicians primarily work to diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They often do this by performing physical exams, taking medical histories, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and recommending a plan of treatment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• M.D. from an accredited medical school. Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution.

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:

• Current M.D. or D.O. license from the State of North Carolina.
• Board certification in OBGYN.
• Certification in BCLS, ACLS required if stress tests performed or as required by specialty.
• Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Only OBGYN practice in the county with 850+ deliveries per year.
• Enjoy Friday afternoon off! Practice hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. 
• Call 1:6 shared amongst providers.
• The practice offers special surgical procedures such as: laparoscopic hysterectomy, endometrial ablation, slings, LEEP, and in office hysteroscopy and pelvic laparoscopy.
• Procedures are done in the office, at Central Piedmont Surgery Center, and Randolph Hospital.
