Job Description
Komyo Logistics has an opportunity to join our organization in the role of Supervisor of our distribution facility in Loudon, TN. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, leadership and communication skills and be capable of creating and fostering a positive work environment.
Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in receiving, shipping, and storage of products. Supervises and coordinates activities of employees in the movement of parts through the department within specified productivity and quality standards.
Essential Job Functions
- Ensures World Class service in daily interactions with all levels of personnel within the company, customers and suppliers.
- Assigns, directs, and monitors the work of employees.
- Helps to coordinates the handling and flow of parts through the facility.
- Provides daily schedules for team of 10 -25 associates
- Promotes a positive work environment characterized by respect, teamwork and cooperation.
- Provide planning, direction and control of all available resources to ensure timely, damage-free storage of product.
- Responsibility for productivity, quality and accuracy.
- Ensure all work is performed according to company approved procedures, standards and specifications.
- Maintains attendance, punctuality and overall performance of associates to ensure that production requirements are effectively met.
- Monitors associates’ conformance with company policies and procedures. Works with Human Resources on performance management and uses corrective action as necessary
- Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and the company’s Safety program requirements. Maintains safe, clean, secure, and healthy work environment.
- Collaborates with Human Resources to ensure proper interviewing/hiring, training, development and evaluation of staff.
- Maintains lines per hour dashboard and monitors productivity to ensure daily goals are met.
- Designs and implements work methods and procedures to increase productivity and improve service within department(s).
- Works within departmental budgets.
- Performs additional duties as required by management.
Supervisory Responsibility
- Responsible for supervision of 1-2 team leads and 10-25 employees.
Organizational Contacts
- Has regular daily contact with employees, Supervisors, Assistant Managers, Operations Manager, HR Assistant Manager and administrative support staff.
- Reports to Assistant Manager of Operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Some college. Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of Supervisory experience in warehouse/distribution environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Has a well-rounded understanding of the operation, it’s various departments, and how they impact one another.
- Strong Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (s) (WMS) preferred.
- Knowledge of queries and/ or Microsoft Access preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Power Point preferred.
- Presentation Skills preferred.

Physical Demands
- Frequent talking, hearing and visual acuity to see objects required.
- Must be able to remain on feet for the majority of work hours.
- Must be able to work in extreme warehouse temperatures.
