Medical Laboratory Technician MLT or Credentialed MA Phlebotomist

Pediatric Medical Practice is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician MLT Or Credentialed MA Phlebotomist to join our team! 

You will be responsible for performing point-of-care medical tests, and moderate complexity testing on blood, body fluid, tissue, and other specimens for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.  Additional Duties will include a Quality Control program including Annual Proficiency Testing, upholding CLIA Certification documentation, ordering lab supplies, and excellent patient care.  

Responsibilities:

• Collect and organize blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples from patients
• Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis
• Properly record results for further analysis and easy reference 
• Monitor inventory samples and supplies
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Work under the supervision of a MD/Medical Director
• Maintain Quality Program

  • Proficiency Testing

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a clinical technician or in other related fields
• Credentialing by a Certifying Body:  MLT or Registered/Certified MA
• Familiarity with common medical terminology
• Experience in a laboratory setting 
• Strong organizational skills
• Experience with Point-of-Care Quality Programs
