Job Description:

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Electronics engineering team is rapidly growing to support the development of Flight Termination Systems and Tactical electronics in support of Space & Defense applications.

EBAD seeks a motivated engineer for the position of an Electronics Design Engineer (Reliability & Analysis), reporting to the Electrical Product Development Lead.

This is an opportunity for an engineer to use and grow their experience in the field of electronic hardware design and analysis. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to circuit analysis and simulation, hardware integration with system level testing and verification, and providing
detailed design documentation and reports.

  • Build mathematical and simulation models for circuits and circuit components
  • Perform EE component level derating calculations
  • Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) analyses
  • Support the development teams in the investigation of circuit design issues
  • Able to use reverse engineering concepts to aid in circuit analyses

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degrees in Electrical or Computer Engineering 4+ years' experience
  • Hardware verification and validation
  • Circuit analysis, worst case, and failure mode effects & criticality analysis experience
  • Problem solving/root cause analysis
  • Analog, digital, or mixed signal circuit design experience
  • Power electronics design experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with "hands-on" testing, troubleshooting
  • Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum
  • Working knowledge of circuit and system level reliability calculations
  • Familiar with military, aerospace, medical, or automotive industry standards for electronics, design factors of safety, and product verification

  • Altium Designer
  • MATLAB
  • Circuit simulation software (LTspice)
  • FMECA
  • Worst case analyses
  • Component derating
  • RELEX reliability prediction software
  • Safety subsystem design & analyses
  • Test plans, test reports, and technical writing
  • Experience with safety critical aerospace & defense electronics productsanalyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators
