Job Description
Position Title: Coordinator of Accounts Receivable
Team: Central Operations
Reports To: Director of Central Operations
Position Summary:
To serve within the finance office of the Central Operations department of The Pregnancy Support Center. In this position, the individual will be responsible for leading the finance office and coordinating the Accounts Receivable. This position will assist and work closely with the Accounts Payable Coordinator, Bookkeeper, Director of Central Operations, and Office Coordinator. A clear and developed understanding as well as past experience with GAAP, Excel, and QuickBooks. Experience in general accounting in a non-profit or business environment is helpful.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and set direction for the Finance Office.
- Communicate with the CEO, Treasurer, Executive Directors, and team leaders regularly.
- Understand the mission, vision and purpose of the organization. Be able to articulate this with excellence. Support it well and be a champion in your own church home.
- Oversee the Accounts Payable Coordinator and Bookkeeper.
- Bank Reconciliations for multiple accounts.
- Process deposits and incoming payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger.
- Assist with month end closing of bank accounts.
- Invoice and receive payments for grants.
- Prepare for and oversee annual financial audit.
- Coach team members on best practices.
- Attend meetings as needed.
- Other Accounting and H/R duties as needed.
- Apprentice someone.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in accounting.
- 3-5 years experience with QuickBooks desktop or other accounting software.
- Proficient in Excel and other programs in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good understanding of GAAP, and a solid understanding of debits and credits.
- Excellent communicator both verbal and with the written word.
- Work with side consultants in Donor Development, Public Relations, and IT areas.
- Occasionally work at one of the other locations.
- Ability to multi-task and attention to detail.
- Maintain confidentiality of donors and staff
