Computer Systems Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and skilled Systems Administrator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Managing Windows, Linux, and/or Mac systems
• Upgrading, installing, and configuring application software and computer hardware
• Troubleshooting and providing technical support to employees
• Creating and managing system permissions and user accounts
• Performing regular security tests and security monitoring
• Maintaining networks and network file systems
• Organize, install and support our organization's computer system, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), network segments and other data communication systems.
• Manage Microsoft Entra (formerly Active Directory/Azure) Tenant
• Manage Zoom Meeting Infrastructure

Due to the nature of our work, we ask that qualified candidates be prepared to work onsite 5 days a week. Our office is in Chantilly, VA.

• Bachelor's Degree in a Related field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business IT Systems OR 3-5 years demonstrated relevant experience.
• Experience in Linux / Mac Systems Administration
• Understanding of technical issues surrounding the designing, building, and testing of IT infrastructures supporting corporate IT
• Applied knowledge/experience maintaining and updating Mac, Linux and Windows systems
• Experience in scripting
• Experience with virtualization (one or more of the following: Ovirt, VMWare, Proxmox, Virtualbox)
• Knowledge of Network Attached Storage (NAS)
• Experience in network design, and routing
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Docker Swarm, K8s)
• Understanding and experience using intrusion detection programs, and firewall

Preferred Skills:

• Active US Security Clearance
• Customer-focused
• Excellent written and verbal commumnication skills
• Knowledge of Synology product would be aplus
