Pool/Spa Attendant & Lifeguard - Now Hiring

The Glen Acres Golf & Country Club is seeking experienced Lifeguards for the coming summer. The pool opens the first weekend in May and closes by the first weekend in September. We are looking for Lifeguards with pool experience and the ability to work flexible shifts throughout the summer. The ideal candidate will have excellent skills in the water and reliable transportation. 

Prior experience a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Open the pool each day and close it down each evening, depending on schedule and hours 
• Monitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issues 
• Direct swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions. 
• Monitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of members and guests. 
• Maintain a clean environment around the pool. Light cleaning & garbage disposal duties. 
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor. Also report pool incidents to appropriate supervisors.
 

Job Requirements Skills: 

* Must be at least 18 years old 

* Current and valid American Red Cross or YMCA Basic Water Rescue certification (Paid training provided by Glen Acres) 

* First Aid and CPR certifications 

* Ability to pass pre-employment practical skills test in the water 

* 2+ years' lifeguard experience preferred 

Additional Information 

$16-$18 per hour
