- Involve appropriate parties in the assessment, treatment, and continuing care of the patient as needed
- Assess patients conditions
- Develop comprehensive care plans
- Educate patients on their conditions
- Provide community resources as needed
- Prepares and labels laboratory specimens for submission to appropriate laboratory
- Utilized knowledge of disease process to establish realistic goals patient and significant others
- Care for children when they are hurt or do not feel well
- React to emergency situations as they arise
- Track medical of children and their families
