Sr. Debug Technician -- Contract Manufacturing

Summary:

The position of Sr technician will work with test department to develop, maintain, debug and test boards on the test equipment with an emphasis on RF circuitry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform testing and troubleshooting electronic circuit boards using test equipment, schematics, procedures, engineering drawings, and written/verbal instruction
• Troubleshoot problems down to the component levels and root-causes
• Recommend changes and modification to improve quality of tests
• Perform preventative maintenance on test fixtures
• Provides technical assistance and leadership as needed
• Pass down any pertinent information from your shift to the next shift and provide training for lower level test operators

Minimum Qualifications:

• AA degree in electronics
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in an Electronic Manufacturing industry and 7 years in Debug technician position on troubleshooting PCBA and system build
• Ability to interpret engineering documentation including schematic and block diagrams.
• Must possess troubleshooting skills down to the component level. This position requires previous experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, variable power supplies, and digital multi-meters.
• Responsible for performing production and field service returns testing and troubleshooting. Demonstrated detailed root cause analysis troubleshooting skills.
• RF debug experience is a plus for this role (minimum of 5 years)
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English proficiently; understand and follow test process instructions (TPIs) and MPIs.
• Must be detail oriented, discipline, thorough and well organized.

• Possess and demonstrate good team relations skills
• Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and achieve goals and tasks
• Microsoft Office experience
