Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire escrow process from opening to closing, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
- Review purchase agreements, title commitments, and lender instructions to accurately prepare settlement statements.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and other parties involved in the transaction to gather necessary documentation and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Conduct title searches, examine title reports, and address any title-related issues or discrepancies.
- Calculate and prorate taxes, HOA fees, and other financial obligations related to the transaction.
- Prepare and review closing documents, including deeds, mortgages, and other legal documents.
- Oversee the disbursement of funds, ensuring timely and accurate distribution to all parties involved.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all escrow transactions and related documents.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Escrow Officer in a title company or real estate setting.
- Strong knowledge of escrow processes, real estate transactions, and title insurance.
- Proficiency in using escrow software and other relevant tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
