National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) Configuration Management Engineer Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) Configuration Management Engineer to work in our Reactor Project Engineer department. Our team works an onsite 4x10 schedule located at our Materials and Fuels Complex facility with every Friday off. The Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking applicants as a National Reactor Innovation Center (NRIC) Configuration Management Engineer. The NRIC Configuration Management Engineer will be the technical contact for configuration management and product lifecycle management for multiple advanced reactor demonstration projects. The positions will be in the Reactor Project Engineering department at MFC and is collocated with the NRIC testbeds. Responsibilities Include: INL is recognized as the lead national laboratory for the Department of Energy (DOE). The NRIC testbeds provide a unique capability to allow testing of first of a kind advanced micro reactors. Being collocated with MFC allows reactor developers to use additional nuclear fuels research and development expertise along with numerous post-irradiation examination capabilities. • Are the lead engineering for the product lifecycle management (PLM) tools, PTC Windchill • Perform the system engineer role for designs as assigned by the engineering manager or project lead. • Use engineering experience to ensure that the design reviews are carried out with appropriate rigor and ensure the process and workflows in the PLM system are correct to support those reviews and design verification • Support design verification activities by reviewing technical comments and ensuring resolution and implementation in engineering documentation • Ensure that engineering deliverables are associated with the correct system in the engineering change control tools • Ensure that change management is implemented for all projects in the Reactor Engineering Department • Responsible for progressing the transition to digital engineering tools for the department and ensuring that proper engineering process and configuration management is developed and implemented within those digital toolsQualifications: Minimum Requirements:
- PR0200/PR0300: Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering discipline, and 2-5 years relevant engineering experience, or a master's degree and 1-3 years relevant experience, or PhD and 2 years experience.
- Applicable degrees include; Mechanical, Nuclear, Chemical, Electrical, and Instrumentation & Control's engineering, Aerospace, Computer/Software. Other degrees may be considered with relevant experience.
- Proficient in the configuration and use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Enovia.
- Experience in multiple CAD software tools such as PTC Creo, Dassault Solidworks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of software languages/formats/services such as XML, JavaScript, SQL, REST API.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
- Experience in the Department of Energy capital acquisition lifecycle, especially with regards to DOE O 413.3B
- CM2 certification via ICM
- ASEP/CSEP certification via INCOSE
- Experience with IBM DOORS NG
- PMP certification via PMI
- Salary Grade: PR0200 180 - ($64,272 - $102,840)/ PR0300 190 - ($72,528 - $119,652)
