Position Overview

Are you outgoing and customer-focused? Do you enjoy working with the public?  We are looking for a competitive Producer who can recognize opportunities and strategically turn leads into long-lasting customer relationships. As our Insurance Staff Position - State Farm Agent Team Member, your knowledge of insurance products and industry trends equips you to communicate directly with clients, identify their needs, and market products or services that maximize value. You may also assist in developing strategies and establishing quotas for our agency.

Responsibilities

  • Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
  • Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
  • Timeliness is essential in lead response, with a goal to reply within 15 minutes to 24 hours to keep your offer fresh in their minds.
  • Personalize your communication by using their name and tailoring messages to their specific needs, while avoiding generic templates.
  • Use various communication channels like email, phone, and social media, as different leads may have different preferences.
  • Establish a follow-up plan with reminders to stay engaged without overwhelming them and continue following up until they indicate otherwise.
  • Keep track of your interactions and analyze the data to refine your strategies.
  • Know when to disengage from unresponsive leads and concentrate your efforts on those most likely to convert.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred
  • Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
  • Ability to effectively relate to a customer
  • Property & Casualty license - must have prior to start
  • Life & Health license - must be able to obtain
  • Must be a resident of Michigan
