An iconic New York-founded fast-casual restaurant group established in the West Village in 2005. taim means tasty, which perfectly describes our made-from-scratch bowls, pitas, and salads. In the taim kitchen, we make everything in-house daily, sourcing the freshest produce, herbs and spices, and spend hours marinating, dicing, and slicing. We put our whole hearts into our food to create delicious dishes you can customize in millions of different ways. We now have 13 restaurants across New York, NJ, Maryland and DC, with plans to triple that number in the next 2 years. This is an exciting chapter in our growth.

The Role
Reporting into the marketing lead, you will be responsible for the key focuses shared below. This pivotal role will project manage and execute key day-to-day initiatives to drive brand awareness, trial, engagement and growth across our NY & NJ area restaurants.


New Restaurant Openings: 50%
● We’re growing rapidly and will be opening many restaurants in the NY & NJ area. Your focus will be to become the brand’s go-to / expert on each new area (min 5 miles surrounding radius, but likely further)
○ Who are these communities, what activities do they participate in, etc
○ Be in the market several times each week to familiarize yourself with the immediate area, and visit key communities
● Identify, propose, plan and execute events and partnership opportunities to introduce taim to the community (canvassing, sampling, flyering, festivals, local business cross-promotions, fundraisers donations, selling opportunities, etc).
● Plan and support pre-opening and opening events

● Develop relationships with key organizations (schools, local businesses, hospitals, gyms)
● Continue to support the new location post-opening to drive frequency and awareness with the community
● Update and share results of the activities with the team on a regular basis
● Keep up to date with sales performance and review with the team each week coming with ideas of:
● What activities are / are not helping?
● What else could we be doing? Are there times of day that need more help or times where we should be promoting the business more?


Engaging communities: 50%
● Identify local opportunities throughout the year with the objective of raising awareness for our restaurants, driving trial and ultimately winning over customers:
● Discover, propose, plan and execute events and partnership opportunities:
○ As examples this could entail: canvassing, sampling, flyers, festivals, local business cross-promotions, fundraisers donations, selling opportunities, etc.
● Develop relationships with key organizations (schools, local businesses, hospitals, gyms)
● Determine any larger, key events (sampling or selling) where the brand should be present:
○ For example, “taste of NY”
● Plan the events with operations and the support of marketing
● Own the events and local opportunities calendar / management – keeping team updated
● Evaluate events and reconcile budget

● Own event kits – establishing a new standard and bringing in new ones as needed
● Own swag tracker – maintaining brand inventory list

Work Experience
● Ideally you have worked in food/restaurants
● Experience representing brands and coordinating marketing activities
● Spent time interacting with customers/employees in the field

● The role will primarily be based in the NY/NJ area supporting our key restaurants there
● You will need to be able to get to these locations (especially the NY/NJ locations) several times each week.
● This is not a work from home job. You will be out at the restaurants at least 4 days a week.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
