Founded in 2014, Hot Chicken Takeover began as a small, weekend-only pop-up in Columbus’ Olde Towne East neighborhood. We start with fresh, never frozen chicken, marinated for over 15 hours. It’s then fried-to-order and coated with your preferred HCT heat - Mild, Warm, Hot, Holy or or Unholy (for the bravest guests). The asterisk in our logo is all about our company mission - to create extraordinary experiences for extraordinary people. Our fans’ enthusiasm propelled us to grow - since then, we’ve expanded throughout Ohio and now have 10 locations, including the Columbus Crew stadium and The Ohio State stadium

taim mediterranean kitchen is an iconic New York-founded fast-casual restaurant group established in the West Village in 2005. taim means tasty, which perfectly describes our made- from-scratch bowls, pitas, and salads. In the taim kitchen, we make food in the back of our kitchen daily, sourcing the freshest produce, herbs and spices, and spend hours marinating, dicing, and slicing. We put our whole hearts into our food to create delicious dishes you can customize in millions of different ways. We now have 15 restaurants across New York, NJ, Maryland and DC, with plans to triple that number in the next few years.

The Role
Reporting into the marketing lead, this role will be responsible for driving awareness and developing love for our brands within their communities. Developing relationships and finding opportunistic ideas and programs with top radio, print, broadcast, bloggers and key
influencers/VIPs/brand champions will be the key to success for this role. While our food speaks for itself, our brands are small and this role will need to find creative ways to make an outsized impact for our size and budget. The person in this role will be a critical member of our small marketing team and will need to straddle between strategy and execution.
 

Key Responsibilities
● Build positive relationships with key stakeholders, local media and our brand fans - focusing on top local media (across all touchpoints ie radio, print, broadcast, podcasts), bloggers and local VIPs.
● Create the PR strategy and calendar across both brands and all markets
● Manage and execute the PR marketing calendar

● Project manage all PR related items both internally and with key external stakeholders and communicate to the organization
● Find and submit for all relevant local awards and accolades
● Analyze what’s working/not and be able to shift priorities as needed
● Brainstorm and develop a calendar of innovative content and campaign ideas to garner more media attention (beyond any innovation or existing marketing ideas)
● Proactivley understand media, how it works, how best to influence different platforms
● Build relationships with the internal team, understanding how to proactively leverage the
work being done and experts within the company
● Keep up with news/trends, particularly in all our local markets
● Write press releases and develop content as needed
● Flow between idea creation and local execution

 

Work Experience
● Ideally you have worked in food/restaurants
● Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in PR or a related field

● You’re highly organized, detail oriented, a clear communicator and collaborator
● You’re resourceful and quick to find solutions to help customers
● You’re a proactive problem-solver and don’t mind asking questions as you learn
● You’re efficient, able to work at pace and thrive working across multiple initiatives
● You have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
● Willingness to travel as needed to the different markets (mostly NY, NJ, DC, Cleveland and Columbus)
