SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing, organizing, and tracking inventory levels, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This role involves monitoring inventory movements, resolving discrepancies, and working closely with supply chain, purchasing, and production teams to ensure smooth operations.

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing, organizing, and tracking inventory levels, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This role involves monitoring inventory movements, resolving discrepancies, and working closely with supply chain, purchasing, and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Entering data in ERP (picking tickets, inventory adjustments, transfer and counting journals)
- Ensure inventory levels and locations are accurate through regularly scheduled cycle counts
- Inventory management - Ensuring and maintaining inventory location accuracy in ERP
- Assisting with root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies
- Participates in programs to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
- Recommend process improvements
- Supporting batch integrity by entering corrections in ERP
- Ensure that products are correctly tagged, labeled, and stored in appropriate locations.
- Prepare reports related to inventory levels, stockouts, or overstocking for management.
- Perform inspection to ensure compliance with specified requirements during the 'in-process' stage of the process and for inventory parts.
- Read instructions, drawings, specifications or sample parts / gauges to determine compliance of dimensions and tolerances of in-process work.
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge/Skills/Education)
- Purchasing and Production - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other attributes for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods and services.
