Job Summary
We are searching for an experienced pet groomer to manage the grooming department at our successful animal hospital. As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you!  

Responsibilities 
  • Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
  • Bathe dogs and dry coat
  • Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
  • Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
  • Trim nails 
  • Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
  • Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
  • Comfortable working with anxious animals
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
  • Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
  • Strong attention to detail
