POSITION SUMMARY AND MISSION:
This position contributes to City Barbeque success by serving our Sales Managers, Wedding Event Specialists, Ops Teams and guests by helping our guests find the perfect meal for their occasion. Answering general questions about our menu, Placing B2B orders, processing online orders, handling/escalating guest complaints over the phone, providing a first contact for brides planning their wedding and gathering basic order information and making sure it goes to the appropriate market. All the while, working closely with every Ops Team to ensure availability and ease of ordering.

Guest Services teammates take pride working in our call center located in Dublin, OH, helping guests find the perfect meal for their occasion, as well as answering any questions they may have about why we are America's first choice for barbeque and how we can help. We support our teammates in the barbeque joints deliver the best experience by giving the same backyard hospitality to every guest who contacts us by phone, allowing our guests to get 100% 1-on-1 attention by phone, just like they would face to face in one of our joints.

SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees while maintaining a cheerful and helpful attitude.
  • Use of proper phone etiquette and phone procedures.
  • Have the ability to adapt to changing guest call volume levels with a sense of urgency.
  • Have a complete understanding of the menu and services that City BBQ Provides so that you may handle all guest questions.
  • Actively place catering orders with guests on the phone using Monkey Media
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times and display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
  • Proficient in word processing, Outlook, and Spreadsheet software
  • Able to take own initiative to communicate appropriately in written and verbal form.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Reports directly to the Catering Sales Support Manager
JOB DUTIES:

Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Take incoming phone calls from guests calling for Catering.
  • Discerning the difference between a Catering order or a store Pick Up
  • Place orders
  • Make and relay changes to current orders.
  • Answer questions
  • Make quotes.
  • Handel guest complaints and escalate when appropriate.
  • Process all online orders and contact guests with any concerns when assigned.
  • Make outbound confirmation calls to all orders when assigned.
  • Assist in Inside Sales
  • Research specific target business types
  • Make cold calls/email to establish a client contact.
  • Will be passed along to Sales Manager
  • Review and respond to all guest emails with same day turn around.
  • Work with Ops Teams as needed to ensure order accuracy and availability.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Be able to adapt to changing guest volume levels with a sense of urgency
  • Have the ability to demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu
  • Have the ability to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location
  • Able to use a phone, headset, computer, navigate the internet and perform data entry into an online ordering system
