A reputable non profit Medical Center in sunny and beautiful area of Southern California is actively searching for Transfusion Clinical Lab Scientist CLS for night shift to add to its prestigious team of healthcare professional.

The Transfusion Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will ensure all practices and procedures in assigned sections meet requirements of licensing agencies.  The Transfusion CLS will assist the Laboratory Director and Manager in ensuring the day-to-day operation of the Laboratory meets the service requirements of the hospital and accrediting agencies: CMS, IDA, CAP, CLIA, DHS.  When designated, acts as a general supervisor or medical director designee, as appropriate.

The Transfusion Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will perform quantitative and qualitative clinical laboratory determinations as requested by physicians including procurement of specimens, computation of test results, and submitting completed reports.

The Transfusion Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS is also involved in evaluating new tests, choosing new equipment, and performing quality assurance and quality control. The Transfusion Clinical Laboratory Scientist CLS will perform accurate pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical testing of specimens received in the laboratory. Completes record filing processes while avoiding or minimizing errors.

The Transfusion CLS Clinical Laboratory Scientist is assigned to work or float in appropriate areas. Responsibilities are expanded to include participation in activities relating to quality assurance, quality control, proficiency testing, policy and procedure review, in-service training and staff development.
