Responsibilities of the Pediatric CVICU Nursing Educator will include developing educational curriculum and programs, new hire orientation, current department staff educational programs, updating policy procedures and implementing quality improvement plans. As the department resource, the Nurse Pediatric CVICU Nursing Educator must be up to date on best practices, a strong communicator, and cross collaborate with other Nurse Educators, Nurse Managers, Directors, specialists, physicians, and ancillary staff. 

The Pediatric CVICU Nursing Educator must have previous experience working as a Nurse Educator, Instructor, Clinical Specialist, or Preceptor, hold previous clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, along with their active Registered Nurse License (may obtain correct state licensure prior to starting) and BSN (master’s preferred).
