Operations Trainee

• B.S./B.A. degree in Mining Engineering, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Business, Accounting, or other related field from an accredited 4-year university is preferred.
• Previous internship or work experience in an operations environment is preferred but not required.

• Strong time management skills, with the ability to plan and organize work, balance multiple demands, and consistently execute priorities with follow-up and follow-through.

• Must have the ability to drive a pick-up truck on a daily basis.
• Must have the ability to travel locally on a regular basis and periodic overnight travel as required.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds and to stand, sit and walk for long periods of time.
• Requires use of computerized equipment and technology.
• This position requires knowledge and awareness of site hazards. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Position requires the ability to work at multiple sites depending on business needs.
• Must be willing to work a rotating schedule with varying shifts.
• Ability to work in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment that requires complex, technical information and decision-making. Must be able to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Work environment will be both indoors in an office and outside in the quarry or plant. In the office, employees will occasionally be required to sit at a desk or operator's station. In the outside setting employees will perform activities at various heights, around moving machinery, be exposed to dust, fumes, and gases; may be required to use hand tools or power tools. Outside settings will expose employees to changes in temperature/humidity and will require walking on uneven surfaces. May be required to climb steps, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, crawl, or reach above shoulders to accomplish functions of the job.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required
