An opportunity for a Pediatric Behavioral Health RN to take their first step in Behavioral Health Nursing Leadership is available in the form of a Psychiatric Inpatient Assistant Nurse Manager with a top-rated regional hospital in the Pittsburgh, PA area.

The  200-bed Behavioral Health Hospital is part of a growing healthcare system and considered one of the nation's leading teaching and research hospital. The Medical Center has been ranked by US News & World Report as a "high performing" hospital within multiple clinical service lines. The ANM Inpatient Psychiatry will support a Clinical Director in their leadership of a unit treating patients with Autism or Developmental Disorders. The ANM will occasionally be in the staffing numbers.

The Behavioral Health RN does need leadership experience, just  2-3 years of Behavioral Health Experience. Behavioral Health experience does not need to be in a nursing role. The hospital will consider Nurses with their RN or BSN. The Assistant Nurse Manager is a role model of professional nursing practice. The Clinical Nurse Leader will partner with management to achieve excellence in professional nursing practice and patient care.

 The ANM will support the Senior Nurse Manager in employee evaluations, selection and hiring of staff, and performance management. Along with the Psych RN Educator, the ANM is responsible for providing service-based education and clinical expertise.

 The Assistant Nurse Manager will have the following attributes:

  • Eating disorders
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
