Fairfield Livestock Logistics is hiring a full-time livestock hauler for local daily deliveries.
In this position you will be loading, unloading, and hauling livestock to a processing plant daily.
Essential job functions would include managing time, maintaining accurate records, communicating with our customers, following biosecurity and other protocols.
Job Summary:
· Operates truck and trailer according to state and federal laws. Transports livestock to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
· Obtains load-out paperwork and necessary signatures and returns completed paperwork to office.
· Understands bio-security concerns and the importance of cleanliness of clothing and equipment.
· Ensures proper timeliness of arriving at loading point, time to load, arrival time and unloading time at destination.

· Home daily
· Averages $30-$40 hourly rate
· Assigned trucks, no slip seats. Late model trucks with manual transmission.

Job Qualifications:
· Must have current, valid state CDL-A License
· 3+ years of driving experience
· Must meet U.S. Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening pre-employment and be subject to random substance abuse screening as required under USDOT compliance.
· Must pass and receive Animal Handling Certificate, Trucker Quality Assurance certification, tractor/trailer wash protocols. Training and tests available on-site.
· Have at least one year of experience with livestock handling.
· Motor Vehicle Report must be clean and in good standing.
· Proper use of self-provided, hands-free cell phones to report progress while on the road.
