Program Task Lead

We are looking for a Program Task Lead who is a Subject Matter Expert in Technology governance and strategy to support the Department of State Office of Consular Systems and Technology, Information Technology Governance Program. This position requires a Secret Clearance and Agile certification.

As a Program Task Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the continued alignment of the program’s technology strategy with its business strategy, focusing on the links between business objectives and project objectives.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining IT governance services by defining the processes that ensure the effective and efficient use of IT in enabling the organization to achieve its goals.
• Managing and coordinating the program’s activities, resources, risks, and issues, and ensuring that the program delivers the expected outcomes and benefits.
• Communicating and collaborating with various stakeholders, including senior management, business owners, project managers, technical staff, vendors, and customers.
• Providing guidance and support to the program’s projects in areas such as Business Relationship Management, Systems Development Lifecycle Support, Cost Estimating/ Software Benefit-Cost Analysis Support, Process Improvement, Knowledge Management, Microsoft SharePoint Support, and Enterprise Risk Management Support.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in IT governance and strategy, with proven track record of leading complex programs and projects.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with IT governance frameworks, standards, methodologies, and best practices, such as COBIT, ITIL, PMBOK, CMMI, ISO, etc.
• Strong skills and experience in Agile development methods and tools, such as Scrum, Kanban, Jira, etc.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
