Position: Behavior Health Assistant
Job Type/Hours: Part-time 11pm-7am Saturday & Sunday
Location: 3315 Kirkwood Highway Wilmington DE
Summary of Position:
Assists the clinical staff with the daily tasks to include ensuring the safety and welfare of all consumers, maintaining building safety and security, and providing general coverage and duties in support of the program's mission
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED with a preference of two years’ experience in the Human Services / Behavioral Healthcare field or equivalent combination of training and experience. Maintenance of a valid driver’s license and approval by NET’s automotive insurance carrier.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vision, mission, and values statements. Ability to read and write in order to perform agency required documentation. Knowledge and understanding of the Medical model, Recovery model and 12-step model of treatment. Obtain and maintain Self Administration of Medication, CPR, and first aid certifications (for residential sites only). Adhere to applicable city, county, state, and federal laws and regulations, NET's policies, DSAMH licensure, and CARF standards.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Demonstrates basic knowledge of addiction and detoxification.
· Demonstrates ability to facilitate basic educational group sessions.
· Demonstrates proficiency in completion of intake/admission paperwork, consumer search, and Medicaid Eligibility Check.
· Monitors consumers' behaviors, performance facility checks as required.
· Demonstrates proficient computer skills i.e. hardware and software.
· Documents services provided in a legible, timely, and individualized manner and in accordance with NET, CARF, and DSAMH licensing standards
Adult and Pediatric CPR Certification Required
PA Child Abuse Clearance & DE Child abuse Clearance required
PA Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training Required
FBI Clearance required
PA Criminal Clearance required
Health Assessment required
TB Test required
