Military Systems Specialist III

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• 8 years of experience with enterprise systems, servers, clients and networks, and CISCO switches
• IAT 2 Qualified
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Must be an expert who has demonstrated industry and/or public service leadership in DCGS Systems Administration, Network Administration and Hardware Maintenance
• Technical Training in Systems Administration, Network Administration and/or Hardware Maintenance
• Ability to obtain and maintain a CompTIA Security Plus Certification within three (3) months of employment
• Ability to pass world-wide deployment physical examinations and meet all deployment requirements for travel to OCONUS and/or hostile locations as required
• Possess a current DoD Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Comparted Information eligibility

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive experience providing Technical, System Administration, System Operations, System Networking, and System Maintenance support and/or Training on multiple Marine Corps Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Enterprise (MCISRE) related systems to garrison/deployed/deploying Marine Corps units
• At least one (1) successful MCISRE related deployment with a Marine Expeditionary Unit or to a hostile location in support of Marine Corps operations

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs Field Service Representative and Subject Matter Expert duties
• Maintains DCGS-MC POR servers and client hardware and software
• Identifies bugs, enhancement requirements in the software and gaps in capabilities
• Advises command on DCGS-MC POR implementation
• Maintains MCEN-S GCCS-J COP, MIDB, and AATs replication
• Troubleshoots laptops and desktop computers for RAM, SSD, CPU, RAID and PSU deficiencies
• Maintains 100TB storage appliance
• Configures and maintains TrueNAS servers
• Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots ESRI enterprise suite (to include ESRI Portal)
• Advises the communications department (MCIS S6) on POR requirements and best practices
• Creates, edits, and monitors tickets in JIRA
• Coordinates next level of support via NIWC
• Interfaces with MEF FSR's to troubleshoot systems and identify lessons learned from the fleet
• Conducts intelligence system training with NCOs for all programs of record in the MAGTF Intelligence Analyst Course (MIAC).
• Conducts ArcGIS Pro for All Source training with NCOs from the Counterintelligence Course
• Establishes backup processes and maintains cold and hot storage backups of critical infrastructure
• Supports command compliance for inspection of information systems
• Supports command supply activity for inventory and accountability of program of record systems through identification and SL3 explanation
• 25% travel primarily CONUS
