The Pediatric ICU Nurse Educator will join the Women and Children Services team, working alongside a dedicated team of highly specialized registered nurses, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, educators, technicians, physicians, and ancillary staff. The PICU Nurse Educator will work for a hospital that offers an array of pediatric neuroscience services ranging from neurosurgery to neuropsychology. Pediatric services are offered at this hospital, including a pediatric inpatient unit, neonatal special care unit, and a pediatric special care unit. Patients cared for throughout the pediatric unit include several/critically ill children, children suffering from physical and neurological disabilities, individuals requiring rehabilitation specialists, and children/adolescents having same day surgery. 

Reporting to the Director of Women and Children Services, the PICU Nurse Educator will be a hands-on leader, excited to educate staff and families on best practices, techniques, and quality care within the pediatric department. Since there are a range of patients admitted into the pediatric unit, the Pediatric ICU Nurse Educator must have a strong clinical background working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), in addition to an active RN license, and their master’s degree (or currently pursuing).
